We are so glad you are interested in learning more about CityWise :: A 12 month Intensive focused on Community Development (Sept.-Aug.). Here are a few details about the program ::

The vision for the CityWise Intensive is to produce passionate and educated community developers.
Through academic course work and hands-on experience, each student will journey into the heart of service to the poor and learn how city well-being is improved when the talents of the poor are properly engaged. 

Program At a Glance


An Educational Emphasis Track will also be available in addition to the basic course work.  This track will be tailored to the student’s passions and skill sets. Examples of Educational Emphasis Tracks include but are not limited to ::
·         Global Cities and Urban Development
·         Gender and Other Power Structures
·         Historical Perspectives on Cities
·         Human and Civil Rights and Justice Issues
·         Mental Health and Addiction
·         Entrepreneurship and Small Business Creation

School Credit :

CityWise is a 12 month Intensive and is highly academic in nature. Each College/University assesses credit differently and we will work with you on an individual basis to ensure that, if available, you receive appropriate credit according to the guidelines set forth by your institution.

Requirements ::
  ·  Applicants must be at least 18 years of age by the application deadline [June 1st]
  ·  Applicants are preferred to have a minimum of two years of college experience or professional technical
experience
  ·  Excellent written and oral communication skills, computer literacy, and thorough knowledge of the Internet
  ·  Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills
  ·  Work well both independently and as part of a team
  ·  Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
